The problem of reproductive tourism
Due to the strictly practiced restrictions that apply to reproductive medicine in Germany, more and more couples who wish to have children are having artificial insemination carried out in neighbouring countries.Even if non-German reproduction centres insure, and local health insurance companies and insurers cover the costs of the foreign treatments, the couples concerned must be aware that the procedure abroad may violate the German Embryo Protection Act (ESchG) on the one hand, and on the other hand does not necessarily meet the local quality standards. This article reports on these and other problematic aspects of reproductive tourism.

Report on RTL about the desire to have children
In the RTL program "Guten Abend" (Good Evening) a report was broadcast about the desire for children of a couple from Recklinghausen, who are currently undergoing treatment at the IVF Center Mönchengladbach. Furthermore, the report interviewed a happy mother with her 2-year-old son, whose wish for a child was fulfilled by the successful treatment method.
