Sometimes it turns out after the first interview that sexual intercourse was too infrequent or at the wrong time.

Cycle control and sex at the right time will help. However, if a disturbance in the maturation of the egg cells has been found, it is usually necessary to administer medication.

Since summer 2019: New reimbursement system for fertility treatments in NRW

State government supports couples with an unfulfilled desire for children by providing financial relief for treatment costs In future, North Rhine-Westphalia will participate in the federal programme to promote assisted reproduction measures. Married couples and unmarried couples whose main residence is in North Rhine-Westphalia will receive financial support for the first four attempts at IVF or ICSI treatment carried out in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The application for support can be downloaded and submitted online from the Ministry for Children, Family, Refugees and Integration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia from 30 August 2019. The competent granting authority is the District Government of Münster. Information on what couples can already take into account and further information on the eligibility requirements can be found on the website of the Ministry for Children, Family, Refugees and Integration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
